A Thanksgiving Thought and a Prayer

It is a fine thing to strive for assets as long as I am willing to work hard, thank God for my blessings, and share what I have with others in need.  I should never cling to my wealth as though my life depends on it because it does not.  Putting away for a rainy day is not the same thing as hoarding manna.

Putting away requires a prudent, thoughtful plan which is most successful when the Lord is my Financial Advisor.  Hoarding clings to assets with such white knuckled fists as to render my hands useless to God. It is the principle symptom of the disease of pride, a telltale sign that I trust more in myself than in the Creator and Maintainer of the universe.

Lord please lead me not into temptation, and  never allow me to step into the pitfall of pride. Please give me the strength and the wisdom to be ever thankful for Your abundant blessings....In Yeshua’s mighty name!
